Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Padmaavat’ is finally slated to release on January 25. However, the film was also set to clash with Akshay Kumar starrer ‘PadMan’. Both the films are much awaited by the audience and the makers of the films were perturbed by the clash. Recently, there were reports that filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali visited Akshay Kumar at a location in Worli to talk about avoiding the clash between the two films. A source had said, “Sanjay Sir has requested Akshay to please consider a shift in the release date of his next film ‘PadMan’ that is due to release on January 25 with Bhansali’s own ‘Padmaavat’.”
Now, as per latest reports, ‘PadMan’ has shifted its release date from January 25 to 9 February post Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s request to Akshay Kumar. Owing to this change the two films will no longer clash at the box-office. As per reports, Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Leela Bhansali will also come together for a press conference confirming the change in the release date of ‘PadMan’. The sources had earlier also added that the makers of ‘PadMan’ also felt bad for ‘Padmaavat’ and were happy to give them the audience.
