Indian equity indices closed at a fresh record high on Thursday, in contrast to Asian peers, which slid on concerns of an escalating Sino-US trade conflict and rising odds of further policy tightening by the US Federal Reserve.

Dear Trader… The 30-share S&P BSE Sensex rose 339 points or 0.52% to end at an all-time closing high of 65,785, driven by unabated foreign fund inflows and buying in index major Reliance Industries. The broader NSE Nifty advanced 99 points or 0.51% to hit a fresh peak of 19,497.
