(G.N.S) Dt. 2 Chamarajanagar U M Madappa, a member of the first state assembly formed in 1952, died on Thursday at a hospital in Bengaluru. He was 96. He’s survived by two sons and three daughters. Madappa is remembered for his contribution to the unification of Karnataka, Chamarajanagar-Satyamangala railway line
