CM Rawat decides responsibility of secy’s, action will be taken on laxity in recruitment process

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat fixed the responsibility of the secretaries concerned for recruitment in the departments. Along with this, he said that strict action will be taken against the officers of the concerned department if the recruitment process is relaxed. The Chief Minister said that the progress report of the recruitment process should be made available to the Secretary Personnel every 10 days. Secretary personnel should compile and submit the report received from all departments. The Chief Minister was reviewing the ongoing recruitment process in government departments in the Secretariat. Along with this, the CM expressed displeasure at the departments for not providing complete details of the vacant posts and the action taken to fill them and directed them to make the details available in the prescribed format to the Personnel Department at the earliest. He said that the state government wants to recruit vacant posts as soon as possible. So that youth get employment opportunities and employees In the absence, development work should not be interrupted. No negligence will be tolerated in this. He said that there should be no unnecessary delay in completing the formalities.
The Chief Minister directed to form a committee at the government level which would continuously monitor the status of vacant posts in departments and the action being taken to fill them. There should be no shortage in the requests sent by the departments, to coordinate with the State Public Service Commission and Subordinate Services Selection Commission, Ensure that deficiencies are removed without delay. The concerned commission should be sent as soon as possible. The Chief Minister directed that the process of filling the posts of the same nature of different departments should be carried out as soon as possible. This will relieve applicants from applying again and again. Special priority should be given to removing the shortage of field staff. At the same time, the CM expected the State Public Service Commission and Subordinate Services Selection Commission to expedite the recruitment process. The Commission should make the government aware when resources are required for this. He said that details of Upanal, PRD and other contractual workers working against the vacant posts in the departments should also be made available to the Personnel Department.
