Cabinet approves authorizing 1797 colonies benefiting 40 lakh people; BSNL & MTNL to be merged

Union cabinet has approved regulations for conferring and recognising ownership or mortgage and transfer rights to 40 lakh residents of 1797 unauthorized colonies in Delhi. Bill concerning to this matter will be introduced in the next session of Parliament. In another important decision, BSNL and MTNL will be merged.
