Delhi Police arrested three persons and rescued a three-year-old child within five hours who was kidnapped for ransom from East Delhi’s Mandawali area. Sixteen teams worked to rescue the child. Omvir Singh said, “The arrested accused has been identified as Rahul Mishra (24), Gaurav alias Gurdeep (22), both are from Mandawali and Shubham Mishra (19), resident of Sangam Vihar. The officer said, “On Friday evening, at around 5:30 pm, one person Satender Ravi registered a case at Mandawali police station that his three-year-old son Ayush is missing and he had received a ransom call demanding Rs 10 lakh.” Satender owns a computer hardware store in Mandawali and his son Ayush had returned from school in the afternoon, after which he was playing in the lane outside the house and was taken for juice by one employee Rahul Mishra. Rahul had dropped Ayush at the juice stall and left for some work with Satender’s wife. Family of Ayush realized that the child was missing only when the kidnapper made the ransom call in the evening after which the family along with Rahul and some friends started searching for the child in the nearby areas.
