Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal announces delinking of hotels from hospitals as Covid-19 situation improves in the national capital.
With the Covid-19 situation under control, Delhi government may delink the hotels attached to different hospitals. Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal is going to hold a meeting with the health department on Wednesday to discuss the delinking of the hotels. A decision is likely to be taken to delink the hotels from Covid hospitals, said sources.
* Delhi government is keen that all business activities, including hotels, cinema halls and gyms, should reopen and services of Delhi Metro resume in the next phase of unlocking (Unlock-3) of the economy. Besides resulting in huge financial losses to the owners of these establishments, their closure for almost four months has affected the livelihood of thousands.
* For the first time in the past two months, Lok Nayak Hospital — Delhi government’s biggest Covid-19 treatment facility — did not report any death due to the disease on Monday.
* The cash-strapped South Delhi Municipal Corporation is now requesting residents to contribute funds to provide safety gear to its staff and take other preventive measures in the fight against Covid-19.
