After defeat in Gujarat’s local body polls, Congress party state President Amit Chavda and leader of opposition Paresh Dhanai has risgned accepting the responsibility of defeat in state. Talks are going on in the party workers over new state presidents name, Punja Vansh, Shailesh Parmar’s name were in the talks.
According to the information received from sources of Delhi Congress, son of Punja Vansh lost in the current polls in state. While Shailesh Parmar was in the candidate selection in local body polls and the results are infront of everyone. According to sources, the Congress’s central leadership has taken a look at Shankersinh Vaghela Bapu and decided to appoint a new state president too. As Shankersinh Bapu has been a CM of state and has a range of experience in state’s politics. As it can be assumbed that with this two leaders handling the party, Congress will be alive in state as a strong opposition.
As per the reports from sources, reason of appointing Punja Vansh as the leader of opposition will be making that giving importance to patidar’s of saurahtra also and in the assembly also opposition can be strong.
