I have been receiving phone calls and messages threat to my life: Congress Leader Kharge

(G.N.S) dt. 12
Congress leader in the Lok Sabha M. Mallikarjun Kharge has said he has been receiving threat calls and messages on his mobile phone for the past couple of months.
Speaking to presspersons here on Sunday, he said he has lodged a complaint with the Tughlak Road police in Delhi and written to the Lok Sabha Speaker and the Union Home Minister about it.
The Congress leader had indicated about it during his address at a public meeting after the inauguration of Kalagi taluk on Saturday.
“I face threat to my life. I lodged a complaint at Tughlak [Road] police station [in Delhi] about two months ago. I have also written to the [Lok Sabha] Speaker and the Union Home Minister. I don’t want to make it a big deal. It would not be good if the issue gets more publicity and the investigation doesn’t progress,” he said, adding that he had not revealed this in public earlier thinking that it might affect the investigation. However, Mr. Kharge refused to give details about the nature of the threat and the possible forces behind it. “I don’t want to name anybody. It will be known after the investigation is complete,” he said.
Kheny’s entry
To a question, Mr. Kharge said he was not consulted by the party before it admitting Ashok Kheny, MLA, into its fold.
“I don’t know why Mr. Kheny joined the Congress. Nobody in the party consulted me on it or discussed it with me. You have to ask those who admitted him into the party whether [Mr. Kheny’s entry] will help the Congress in any way,” he said.
