The ministry of health and family welfare advised Indian citizens to refrain from traveling to China, Iran, Republic of Korea, Italy and Japan and advised to avoid non-essential travel to other coronavirus affected countries.
Central government has issued a fresh travel advisory for citizens in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19) in India.
On visa restrictions, the government reiterated that all regular (sticker) visas/e-visa (including VoA for Japan and South Korea) granted to nationals of Italy, Iran, South Korea, Japan and issued on or before March 3, 2020 who have not yet entered India, stand suspended with immediate effect.
“Those requiring to travel to India due to compelling reasons, may seek fresh visa from nearest Indian Embassy/Consulate,” the statement from the ministry of health said.
