Accuse of six murder in two hours arrested by Haryana police

Shocked residents gather in front of Palwal Hospital, where the first murder took place. Naresh Kadiyan was arrested by the police while he was on his way to his father-in-law’s house, apparently to murder him. A 45-year-old Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) with Haryana’s Agriculture Department went on a murder spree, randomly killing six persons, including a woman, at different places in Palwal district in the early hours of Tuesday. He has been arrested.
A woman attendant of a patient in a private hospital was the first to be murdered around 2:30 a.m. The police control room received five more calls of murder in the next over an hour. The police found that all the six persons were attacked with an iron rod. Immediately an alert was sent to all police stations and security beefed up at check-posts.
The accused, Naresh Kadiyan, was arrested around 7 am by a police team while he was on his way to his father-in-law’s house, apparently to murder him. Naresh’s estranged wife Seema, along with their minor son, stays with her father Dharampal.The police said Naresh was commissioned to the Army as Lieutenant in 2003, but took voluntary retirement on medical grounds three years later. He was presently posted in Bhiwani district.
He owned a flat in Omaxe City in Palwal and would often come to stay there over the weekend. He was previously involved in a scuffle with a police constable in 2015 and a case was registered against him in this connection. Two of the deceased are security guards, while the woman has been identified as Anjum, 32. One of the deceased is yet to be identified.
