Rise of Covid-19 cases in Mumbai; nearly 1305 buildings sealed by BMC

Maharashtra state has recorded a sudden rise in the number of daily, fresh Covid-19 cases, accounting for the highest number of daily new cases in the country on Saturday, February 20,2021.

While coronavirus infection is decreasing on one side in nation on other hand there has been a sudden rise in corona patients in Maharashtra’s Mumbai. 2749 fresh Covid-19 cases have been reported in Mumbai.

 


In view of this rise of Covid-19 cases, BMC has sealed nearly 1305 buildings in the city. There are a total of 71,838 families living in them. On Thursday, BMC released a new guideline for Mumbai regarding Corona cases.

It added that if five or more corona cases are found in a building, then the entire building will be sealed. In addition, if the patient prefers to stay in home quarantine, then a stamp will be given to the patient on hand.
